Sandblasting

This is a process whereby a design stencil is first produced.

The stencil is stuck onto clear glass and the glass is then sandblasted to create a matt obscure panel with the original design shown in relief (or vice versa with a matt design against a clear glass background) - a process used frequently in Victorian properties and public houses.
