Established for more than 25 years, Opus Stained Glass is based in the rural village of Poynings, just north of the popular and bustling south coast resort of Brighton.

In our Workshop we design and produce new traditional stained glass and leaded light windows, using the same hand-crafted techniques that have been used for centuries, and undertake conservation and restoration of stained glass and leaded light windows.

Properly made with attention to detail and finish, and correctly installed, leaded light windows will last for many years, indeed most decorative stained glass and leaded light church windows do not need attention for at least 80-100 years (and there are very many examples in different locations of the leaded light windows having had no maintenance whatsoever for considerably longer).

Usually it is either the prevailing weather conditions or the condition of the surrounding stonework that might cause the lead work to begin to break up in places.
